Go Along for the Ride

When it comes to amusement parks Delhities have always been left wanting for more especially after the shutting down of Appu Ghar. But thankfully, the new and hip amusement park- Adventure Island at Rohini in North Delhi came up just in time so as not to leave the city kids craving. Spread over an area of 62 acres and featuring over 20 different rides and attractions, supplied by leading European manufacturers such as Intamin, Moser and Zamperla, who supply rides to Disney, Universal Studios and Six Flags, the park is becoming the latest fad among the young and adults alike.

The park is right next to the most unique mall in Delhi- the Unitech Metro Walk Mall popularly known as Metro Walk. One of the biggest malls in the capital- Metro Walk houses outlets of all leading national and international brands including Pantaloon, Reebok, Nike, Blackberry etc. Constructed in the form of the deck of a ship the USP of the mall and the amusement park is an artificial lake that provides a unique and refreshing backdrop to the exclusive retail experience. Boating in the hushed waters is simply a jovial experience.

A separate zone in Adventure Island has been designed along with Turner Networks and is called Planet Pogo, which houses a MAD Theatre and Pogo Plazas for children.

For foodies there are all possible types of cuisines available at the mall in the form of both, stand-alone restaurants as well as food court kiosks. From burger at McDonalds to the ultimate north Indian cuisine at Pind Baluchi or a drink at Zune– it’s all available out there. So why not just go out and explore this weekend
