Rahul encounter, another chain reaction

This article has personal views of writer and is not meant to hurt sentiments of any Religon,Party, State or human
Watching the TV today in the evening, came to know it was not so good Diwali with Mumbaikars. The news of a student being shot down by ACP of Kurla divison was poring from each andd every news channel. Rahul tried to hijack a double decker bus in Kurla, Mumbai and fired two gun shots (according to eye witness on one of the TV channel). Police retaliated by firing few gunshots which led to the death of Rahul, who came from Patna, Bihar searching for a job on OCT 24th.
There is lots of debate going on whether police was right gunning down Rahul.?
Well in my personal opinion- YES. Because terrorism at its peak after mid 80s & festive season goin on. Police can take little risk. Also for the fact that Rahul fired two shots and ACP requested him to surrender and then fired only after Rahul refused to do so. What ever we are getiing inputs (that he has no police records and was just a student)are all after incident.Police that time has to react and act what situation warrants. So police has done right things by firing as it wasn't aware whether he was a student or a terrorist.
That was the news, but what provokes a youth to attempt hijack of a bus?
What happened to North Indians in Mumbai in recent past has lot do with it. Obviously, provoked by what happened to students who came from Bihar to appear in a railway exam, Rahul wanted to convey the message of north Indians but sadly he chooses the wrong way of doing things. He didn't knew its dirty game vote bank politics which politician like Raj Thakery is playing. Its like dividing country on basis of North,South etc. There is always a way of doing things making your point to rest. Its a democratic set-up and not Anarchy or Dictatorship. If there is provision in constitution to provide reservation to particular group on basis of caste, region or income bracket, it would be provided any way. By beating up student who have travelled from one corner to another, you are just initiating a chain of never ending incidents of hatred and revenge. If some [arty or group of people want change in existing quota then it can do it in a constitutional way. If it continues like we will see more Rahuls being killed after provocation. One cant and should never take constitution and its laws head on.The incident has added to the already surcharged atmosphere of the state which witnessed widespread violence during the last few days as youths and students protested against attacks on Biharis by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists on the call of its chief Raj Thackeray. With Diwali due to be celebrated on Tuesday, the civic unrest had started showing signs of abating. However, fearing fresh bout of violence against the Mumbai encounter, Bihar police have beefed up security in different parts of the state. Kumar was in Delhi preparing to lead an all-party delegation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the evening for drawing his attention towards the situation arising out of Bihari-bashing by MNS men.

What is Raj Thackeray’s agenda?
It’s called chasing power. But a naked, hurried run hardly appeals to voters. Hence the need for an issue. Mumbai, teeming with migrants, stark disparities in growth and wealth, and a creaking infrastructure, presents many issues to rally people around. Migration is a highly emotive one, closely tied as it is to the idea of one’s identity. Raj has mischievously mixed up the two: equated all migration with lower-middle-class north Indians, their "mini Bihars" and "Bhaiyya bastis".Raj’s modus operandi is best exemplified by his audacious declaration that "the Railway Recruitment ads were not printed in Marathi newspapers". When it was proved that local editions of papers had, indeed, carried pointer ads in February itself and the main ad had appeared in Employment Times, a national publication, he quickly changed tack to say that had the ads been prominent, Maharashtrians would have applied. On the eve of his October 21 arrest, Raj asked: "Why does Chhat Puja become a show of strength for Biharis here, why don’t we see Navratri turning into a show of strength for Narendra Modi? Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha don’t come here.
Usually its seen that in communally sensitive nation like India, one incident leads to another and its like chain of reactions. What happened in Ayodhya with demolition of Babri Masjid led to Mumbai serial blasts. And then Godhra riots. If you thought that making of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam as President of India has something to do with his contribution to nation in field of Science & Technology, better think again. It was that BJP, which was in power then, wanted to get back the support of Minority group after brutal killing of Muslims in Gujrat, which led to communal violence in the state. We as a citizen should avoid being part of chain of never ending political vote bank drama.

POLITICAL DRAMA:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday assured an all-party delegation of political leaders from Bihar that the Centre would take all necessary steps for ensuring law and order and safety of all sections of society. The assurance by Singh was given as political parties cutting across ideologies in Bihar came together and met him here demanding the Centre's intervention to stop violence against north Indians in Maharashtra and a judicial probe into the killing of a gun-wielding youth from Patna in a city bus in Mumbai.A delegation of leaders headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and including Union ministers Lalu Prasad, Ram Vilas Paswan and Meira Kumar met the Prime Minister and sought registration of a sedition case against those involved in violence against north Indians in Maharashtra.
Mumbai shootout: Nitish, Lalu unite; demand probe
In a show of solidarity on the killing of a Bihar youth by Mumbai Police, Bihar chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his bete noire and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Union Steel and Fertilizer Minister Ram Vilas Paswan met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday.Raising a finger against the conduct of Mumbai Police, the senior leaders from Bihar held a press conference after meeting the PM and demanded a judicial probe by a sitting judge.Nitish Kumar said: "That boy could have been overpowered, they could have just targetted his hand to remove the revolver. But there was no reason to shoot him." Lalu Prasad Yadav demanded the arrest of Raj Thackeray. "It's a brutal murder; we haven't seen the man shoot at anyone," he said, adding "people like Bal Thackeray, Raj Thackeray should be tried for treason." Ram Vilas Paswan demanded that MNS and Shiv Sena should be banned. The RJD chief also said that the Prime Minister has been requested to call an all party meet on the issue.Earlier on Monday, a young pistol-wielding man from Bihar hurling abuses at MNS leader Raj Thackeray was killed in a shoot-out with police in a double-decker BEST bus on Monday after he fired indiscriminately and threatened passengers in an incident that quickly sparked a political row.Pacing through the bus menacingly, the 23-year-old youth identified as Rahul Raj and hailing from Patna was overpowered by police in the upper deck where there were 15 passengers shortly after he boarded the vehicle.Police said they were forced to retaliate when Raj refused to heed their order to stop firing. Raj was also wearing a bullet-proof vest, police said, adding he also demanded that be allowed to speak to the Police Commissioner. One eyewitness said the youth shouted he wanted to kill Raj Thackeray who is under cloud for his anti-north Indian tirade. The shoot-out at around 9.30am during the peak rush power happened when the bus was passing through the 'Bail' bazaar area of Kurla, a north-east suburb of Mumbai."It is being verified whether the person was trying to take hostage aboard the bus. He had fired at the police in 'Bail' bazaar area of Kurla and was shot in retaliatory fire," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Rakesh Maria said.Raj, an X-ray technician who reportedly came to Mumbai in search of a job, was pronounced dead at the Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar. A passenger named Manoj Bhagat, who sustained injuries in the incident, was also taken to Rajawadi hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cried foul over the killing and felt the police could have disarmed the man instead of making him a "sitting duck."But Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil backed the police action saying they have done their duty correctly saying those who take law into their hands and threaten with bullets will get reply in bullets. The Centre has also sought a report from the Maharashtra government

Ha! Rahul was made an offering by mumbai police, following the traditional old system now termed as barbaric of killing an animal to please the god/godess in the past. The mumbai police has crossed the limit to please their God Raj Thakrey for his blessings. The boy killed, was just looking annoyed and frustrated. Media pictures and on sight evident Marathi people "trusted and truthful" says only one fire from a country made pistol was made. Commissioner of Police has quoted the instance as if firing was done by an automatic weapon. Police is relying on the Media reports, and wee too as shown live on different TV channels. It simply shows a barbaric act of Mumbai police who have enough experts to tackle such people. There was no need or reasons for that Barbaric Day Light killing or murder done by Mumbai Police. Even the politicians should think about the humanitarian face too, before politicizing this issue to please their respective Gods, and gain cheap publicity for free. Its a Independent India one should remember. No such barbaric killing should happen ever in future so we should condemn this Barbaric Offering made to this day God Raj Thakrey in LOUD VOICE and appeal to authorities to order a transparent inquiry so that reality should come out.
